Designer History
Louis Azzaro (b. 1933) was a French fashion designer, known for his glamorous party dress creations for French high society women. He found success rather quickly. With his first store opening in 1962, his business had become well established by 1968. Over time he dressed many celebrities such as Raquel Welch, Sophia Lauren and most recently, Nicole Kidman.
Designer Perfume History
His first fragrance, Couture, was launched in 1975 and became the company's signature scent. Some more recent scents the line is known for are Visit For Women and its male counterpart, Visit For Men. In 1996, the male fragrance Chrome came onto the scene and is now one of the top selling men's colognes in the market. Silver Black is the latest cologne from the label. Among the perfumes, some of the more seasonable scents are the Pink and Orange Tonics. He launched both a women's and men's clothing line and accessories. However, today his company is known more for its fragrances than for its apparel.
